Why does my event website show 'Access denied'?

If you or your guest do not have permission to access this event, you will see an 'Access denied' message. We will show you what you can do to change this.

Access denied

If your event website displays the message " Access denied", this may be due to the following reasons:

Events with accounts

  1. Account group restrictions: The event may have been restricted by account groups that exclude you. For example, the event might be restricted to a department that you do not belong to.
  2. Missing authorisation groups for the account type: There are no authorisation groups set for the account type that is trying to access the event website.
  3. Missing registration and access settings for the authorisation group: The authorisation group for this account type does not have registration and access settings that allow access to the event website.

Events without accounts

  1. Missing registration and access settings for authorisation groups: No registration and access settings have been enabled for the authorisation groups. In this case, the event can only be opened with a personal event link. To change this, you can change the access settings to public.
