Personal event link for guests

The Personal Event Link is a specific link assigned to each contact when they are created in the system. This link is used to authenticate and recognize the contact, especially in closed events where access is only possible through the personal event link.

Why do I need the personal event link in campaigns?

The personal event link allows for personalized invitations to be sent to guests. When your guest uses this event link to register, the system recognizes the contact and can access the stored contact details.

If the personal event link is sent to a contact who has already registered for the event, the guest can use the personal event link to access their booking. This allows participants to access their booking and, if enabled, cancel their booking independently.

When creating contacts, a personal event link is automatically generated and assigned to the respective contact. This link is automatically generated in the contact's preferred language to ensure smooth communication. The personal event link is automatically generated in the contact's language.

Personal event link in all event communication

When sending out campaigns, the personal event link can be included for contacts, provided it has been selected and activated in the campaign as a button. Communication with the personal event link facilitates access and the registration experience through the pre-filled registration form.

If a user is already registered, the personal event link will take them back to their own booking. For online events, it is recommended to send the personal link shortly before the event as a reminder, so participants can easily join.

Upon the first use of the personal event link, the contact's status changes from "open" to "accessed." This change is recorded in the contact's history, allowing event admins to track the contact's activities.

The personal event link is also delivered in the booking confirmation, ensuring contacts have access to their booking information at all times and can manage it via the event link. Registered contacts can access their booking and make changes, such as canceling the booking, through their personal event link. This provides contacts with flexibility and enables easy management of their participation.
